Concrete Labourer & Finisher

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Concrete Labourer and Concrete Finisher to join our team. As an occasional Concrete Labourer and Finisher, you will be mainly responsible for applying finishes to concrete surfaces, and ensuring the quality and durability of the finished product. You will also be responsible for preparing and levelling surfaces, building concrete forms and ensuring their proper alignment and strength. Finally you will also be responsible for the pouring (wheel barreling) and spreading of concrete and rebar into forms.


Responsibilities:
- Prepare and level project areas
- Build concrete forms & ensure their proper alignment and strength
- Pour concrete into forms and spread it evenly
- Perform concrete finishing tasks such as smoothing, levelling, and texturing surfaces
- Operate heavy equipment including concrete saws, mixers, skid steers and more
- Use hand tools such as trowels, floats, and edgers to finish concrete surfaces



Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficient in various concrete finishing techniques
- Knowledge of concrete forming, pouring and spreading
- Physical strength and stamina to perform manual labor tasks
- Experienced and comfortable with operating heavy equipment and power tools
- Experience with interlocking and landscaping an asset

Job Type: Occasional/Part-time Work
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20-35 per week

Schedule:
Monday to Friday
Possible Saturday's

Ability to commute/relocate:
Mississauga, ON: reliably commute

Experience:
Construction: 1 year (preferred)
Concrete finishing: 2 years (required)
Concrete forming: 1 year (required)
Interlocking: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
Class G Licence (required)
