We are two families looking for amazing friends (staff) for our two adult sons who are about to take on the next chapter of their lives as adults in an independent living environment. We believe in providing a stable, secure, caring, and supportive environment for our employees and children as well as offer an above average rate of pay and job security to our employees.

Caregiver Job Responsibilities:
• Assist them with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and getting to
and from outings.
• Allow and encourage them to do as much of their own care as possible.
• Serve and prepare meals while following preplanned menus.
• Encourage them to eat a proper diet and take adequate fluids while respecting their right to free
choice.
• Initiate and participate in leisure activities and encourage them to socialize during planned outings or
programs to develop friendships within the community.
• Maintain records daily in a timely manner and in accordance with company policy and procedures.
• Assist them with medication as defined in the medication procedure and policy manual.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly environment.
• Perform general housekeeping duties and follow cleaning schedules.
• Follow proper procedures in emergency situations and respond promptly and positively to their
requests for assistance.
• Encourages teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers.

Caregiver Qualifications/Skills:
• Has drive a to help people live their best, happiest and most independent lives.
• Can create a safe, effective, caring, and fun environment.
• Works as a team player.
• Motivates and encourages others to be the best they can be.
• Listens and focuses on quality of care.
• Builds skills by being a fun friend.
• Is willing to take training courses to improve overall skills.
• Can take constructive criticism and ask for help when needed.
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be a valid Canadian Citizen
• Clean Criminal Record Check
• Clean Vulnerable Sector Check
• CPR (within first 3 months of hire)
• Minimum 1 year(s) professional or personal experience supporting individuals with disabilities, mental
illnesses, or challenging behaviors.
• Must have a valid driver's license, provide current registration and 2-million-dollar liability insurance.
• Must be over 18 years of age.
