Setups, fretwork, nut or saddle/bridge replacement, pickup replacement, wiring fixes or upgrades, shielding, to structural and specialized repairs, get your electric/acoustic instrument or bass playing and sounding its best.

Even many new instruments come off the factory line with inconsistent fretwork and little or no adjustment to the nut or saddle/bridge and need some help to play as they should. Don't just put up with buzzing notes, high action, poor tuning/intonation, or frets sticking out of a dry fingerboard. Not staying in tune? Nut and saddle adjustment/upgrades can do wonders. Is your guitar noisy? Get it shielded, or swap to some upgraded pickups/wiring. Your Asian or Mexi instrument could be great but the electronics, or setup/frets/nut needs work. Does your vintage gem need some TLC? If your classic or new instrument doesn't play or sound like it should, don't settle for a poor playing instrument, get it set up, repaired, or modified - so it inspires you to play.

Also, as a full-time former touring pro (over 5000 gigs) I know what the worst or most demanding conditions can do to a guitar and what those guitars need to be dependable and great sounding. As part of my week, I also am an active guitar/bass instructor, I know what beginners and intermediate players want and need out of those instruments too. So beyond just the technical details, I want to have all my clients playing and enjoying their instruments.. .. as they should. A priceless vintage or custom instrument, mid-level, or entry-level instruments - they should all be able to play in tune, have decent action, and sound good, to great.

As a small shop, I'm taking in a select amount of instruments per week, to make sure most service is done in a week or less. My focus is to get the repairs done right, not to rush just to help the bottom line, or take in customer's instruments to sit 'in wait' for weeks on a shelf. Most local music store service depts are run by non-techs, managers, or sales personnel. You rarely talk to the tech, as that would be 'bothering them'. Interacting with clients helps me get a far better take on what you & your instrument need, vs just reading a work order."
