Lead Carpenter - Site Supervisor

Permanent, full time, experienced lead carpenter/site supervisor wanted for a variety of
commercial and residential renovations and new construction. Time to be split between
working on tools when required, and project organization and supervision as required.

Prerequisites:
 Reliable transportation/driver's licence
 Criminal Record Check will be required
 Steel toe boots and PPE
 Hand tools
 Excellent communication skills
 Positive team attitude
 Reliable and punctual
 Physically fit, good work ethic
 Attention to detail
Experience:
 Min. 5 years experience in construction and 2 years experience leading small to
medium size construction projects/renovations, supervising crew and trades
 Able to lead and work with crew from forming foundation through to finishing
stages of new construction and renovation projects
 Ability to split time between working on tools when required, and project
organization and supervision
 Familiarity with BC Building Code
 Able to read plans and specifications and assist with shop dwg. process
 Able to use computer for email, scheduling, coordination
 Experience working in occupied spaces, and with other trades
 Familiar with rough and finish carpentry, framing, concrete, siding, decking,
window/door/hardware installation, steel studs, t-bar, soffits/facia,
unique/specialty systems, kitchen and bath renovations and millwork installation
 Diverse experience in commercial, residential and institutional construction for
both renovations and new construction.
 Knowledge and respect for good health and safe work practices around co-
workers, equipment, machinery and occupied or public spaces
 Awareness of Hazmat materials identification and abatement procedures
 Ability to assist project managers and co-workers identifying and projecting
material and scheduling needs
 Experience sharing knowledge, and taking responsibility while working with less
experienced crew
 Experience making sound time management decisions balancing production
orientated work vs. quality finished product

Compensation:
Wage based on experience. Benefits available after 3 months. Stat. holidays, vacation
pay, overtime paid when required, work with a professional and respected crew,
flexibility with time off.
