Seeking a Lead Carpenter & Site Supervisor

Who we are
At Acquire Real Estate we are passionate about buildings. We build them, we buy them, and we renovate them. We own a portfolio of buildings nationally, with the bulk being in Waterloo Region. We stick to residential construction and often have projects that range from basement renovations to multifamily developments.

Who we are looking for:
A motivated, skilled tradesperson with strong finish carpentry skills to help us with residential renovations and new builds. We are seeking someone who can grow into a project leader, and site supervisor.

Location:
Working in Kitchener/Waterloo

Experience
A minimum of 5 years of experience as a carpenter in the construction industry. Ability to grow into a site supervisor position after 2-3 months.

Job Responsibilities:
-Framing
-Window and door installation
-Trim, casings and mouldings
-Kitchen installations
-Flooring (vinyl, laminate, hardwood)
-Stairs and railings
-Fences and decks
-Maintain and repair properties
-Manage a team of labourers and trades to complete work listed above
-Drive project milestones
-Progress to larger projects

Compensation
-Hourly Pay Structure, $35-40/hr depending on experience
-Potential for bonus structure
-Potential for role growth and compensation increase
-Full Time Permanent Position

Requirements
• Be highly organized with an ability to focus on attention to detail.
• Work well under the pressure of tight deadlines.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, field drawings and plans.
• Completion of a Red Seal Certification, Project Management, Construction, Building Technology Diploma is an asset
• Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
• Own tools and steel-toed safety boots
• Own transportation and a valid driver's licence


But most importantly, have a good attitude and willing to LEARN and GROW!
