THIS POSITION IS BASED IN BLUE RIVER, BC

Start date: ASAP until early October. Opportunity to return year after year for the right fit.

We are searching for a well rounded, experienced mechanic, specifically working on jet boat motors and electric powered catamarans

The Jet boats are a custom 20ft (6m) River Safari designed welded aluminum hull, made by Thunder Jet. Powered by 200 horsepower, V6 mercury jet-drive. Every boat is custom made and performs uniquely to one another.

Our canoes are 39ft (12m) fiberglass Haida style canoes. Powered by an electric Torqeedo outboard motor. These motors are 48 Volt and 4000 Watt (10 HorsePower equivalent) or 10000 Watt (20HP equivalent).

Full time position available for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on jet boat engines and other mechanical components
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues quickly and effectively
Conduct thorough inspections of jet boats to identify any potential problems or safety concerns
Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed
Collaborate with other team members to ensure the timely completion of repairs and maintenance tasks
Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the mechanic shop
Support other departments (dock, grounds, construction, etc.) in their responsibilities when required

Requirements:
Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably with experience working on marine engines or jet boats
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and techniques
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Flexibility to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

STAFF ACCOMMODATION AVAILABLE FOR $14 Per day

*Must have valid Canadian work permit*
