2002 Jetta TDI 1.9 ALH & Trailer

I am selling my little diesel car that has been in my family since 2004 and 23,000km. This car has been reliable, fuel efficent and cost effective. It is a bonus that it is versatile enough to also haul bicycles, camping gear, couple sheets of plywood, fridges or any other common life iteams. This is a highway driven car spending most of its life with the cruise control set and putting miles down. None smoker, none pet owner with mantinace work done at recommended intervals. There has been extensive mechanical work done to the car under my ownership over the last 5 years all listed below. I am selling becuase I'm downsizing and no longer have a need for 2 vehicles.

-New turbo, manifold, actuator 27,000km ago.
-New mass air flow sensor 27,000km ago.

-New EGR delete & boost gauge install 21,000km ago.

-New battery with 2 year warranty (purchased Jan 30, 2024).
-New starter motor and cleaned all grounds 4,000km ago.
-New studded winter tires 4,000km ago.
-New front fenders & 6" of rocker gaurd around the bottom of the vehicle 4,000km ago.
-New oil pan heater 3,000km ago.
-New serpintine belt 3,000km ago.
-Oil & filter done 800km ago (New drain plug with magnet attached installed with the oil change along with new copper washer).
-New front struts & mounts & bearings 500km ago.
-New mudflaps X4 400km ago.
-New interior door handles X4 400km ago.
-New glow plug and cleaned glow plug wiring harness connections 1km ago.


TIRES
The car comes with summer tires on factory rims @ 50% tred currently installed on the car. I also have a full set of winter tires on factory rims 2 studded brand new and 2 @ 50% tred. I also have a set of winter tires on steel rims at 40% that also come with the car. You won't need tires for a while....

INFO & EXTRAS

This car doesn't smoke on start up. Looking at VagComm all the injectors are well within factory specifications usings GCL injector cleaner with every fuel up at the pump. It's had a frost fighter heater on it pretty much its whole life, but there has been some cases where a cold start needed to be performed camping and it did a fantastic job as expected. Plugging the car in is a regular occurrence over the lifetime of this vehicle. Oil changes at 5,000km intervals running full synthetic Liqui Moly 5W-40. Mature owner who understands the value of a reliable vehicle.

I have an amplitude of parts that come with this car listed below.

-New timing belt kit & water pump (doesn't need to be done for another 30,000km)
-Factory EGR system still functional
-New serpintine belt & used belt
-3 mudflaps
-Old mass air flow sensor
-New strut mounts & bearings
-New BOSH front pads (current ones are still good)
-Extra rear brake caliper (rear right)
-Original interior door handles (some cracks)
-Extra passanger vent
-Extra cup holders for middle arm rest
-Extra starter motor (smoked but rebuildable if wanted)
-Extra screws, nuts, bolts and body clips I scavenged from other TDI jettas becuase this car is 22 years old and extras are always a good idea.
-Original AC clutch, coil, pully
-Extra lug nuts if you want to get rid of the keyed lug nut on each wheel
-New windshield wiper blades
-Extra hubcaps X2 for the factory aluminum rims.
-I also have 3 fully functional keys along with 2 keys that can be made to work with this car so you'll never get stranded.

CONS

Windshield has a crack along the bottom, but it's no where near in my line of sight so I won't replace it. Drivers seat has a small tear, AC could use a recharge but I'm a windows down kind of guy. The inside leather could use some conditioner but is more then up to my standards. Once in a blue moon a fuse will pop for the trailer lights, but swapping in a new one its all good. I will see about finding the ground fault at some point if I got time.

TRAILER
This is a 4'X8' trailer rated for a 300bls tongue weight and 2000bls capacity. It folds in half with caster wheels for easy storage and mobility. Last year I redid the whole trailer. The work is as follows.

-New tires & rims & good spare
-Serviced wheel bearings
-New ¾" pressure treated deck
-New lockable trailer pin
-New welded on hooks for attaching straps conveniently
-New LED lights with 4pin
-New gray plastic fenders
-New safety flags for easy backing up and safety on the road as the trailer and car are small and low to the ground aiding great fuel milage when in use.
-Has the gear needed to have 2X4 removable steak sides mounted on it. I never did because all my needs are met with a flat deck.
