Elmwood Community School is excited to offer two summer programs! Both are designed for teens who are getting ready to launch into adulthood and could use some support in practical math and/or reading and comprhension.

LITERACY - "LIFESTYLE OF THE MIDDLE AGES"
Join us in working together on grasping tightly to reading and comprehension skills while learning the ins and outs of life in the Middle Ages! With take home reading between each class, and a short seminar for families on how to support your teen in becoming robustly literate, this class is sure to be a hit.

Using a Dictionary
Novel Reading
Properly reading and using Lists

Classes will run Monday, Wednesday, Friday for 1.5hrs from JULY 8th to AUG. 23rd (let us know if you need make up times due to vacations or summer jobs etc. we can be somewhat flexible)

These classes are designed for learners who struggle to keep up in their regular class settings and need more one on one, slowed down, repetitious teaching.
