I've used this Workmate 300 for many years as a workshop table, using the crude plywood tabletop you see in the picture. Occasionally the vise has come in handy separately. It will open even wider than the 2x4 under the tabletop.

The Workmate collapses for compact moving, as you can see in the instructions.
