Looking to start a small, dual purpose herd?
Check out this gorgeous little guy.
Sire is registered miniature jersey (pictured in 3rd last pic, then his sire and grandsire are pictured). Sire is larger than mini, but his genetics are tiny, and he has consistently thrown tiny-small calves.
Dam is smaller Simmental/angus cross.
Both have fantastic temperaments, both love scratches.
Dam has a good udder for a beef cow and has been a textbook mother, which is amazing for a heifer, and this little guy should throw nice small calves that should have a chunky build and decent udders and production for family milk cows.
He is a hefty little guy, approx 26-28 inches tall (at his back) at birth, and estimated 40 lbs when I lifted him.
He will not be handled, but he shows curiosity and interest and looks like he will have a good mind like his parents.
Available September 15th at weaning.
