Home Care – Caregiver
Coulee Family Services is looking for new team members in the Bow Island area to join us!

Description
This position provides in-home support to seniors and individuals who need assistance in completing activities of daily living.

Responsibilities/Activities
Client-care is specific to the individual and may include assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, medications, meals, palliative and respite care.
Supporting our clients includes monitoring behavior changes and ensuring client safety.

Required Knowledge:
Knowledge of standards of practice and scope of practice, in accordance with provincial regulations
Knowledge of personal care and home management skills.
Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat injuries including emergency first aid and CPR.

Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to provide compassionate care within scope of Heath Care Aid
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to maintain appropriate contact with manager/coordinator.
Ability to make useful suggestions.
Ability to establish and maintain relationships.
Ability to communicate written and oral information so others understand.
Ability to work independently and in cooperation with others.
Ability to observe and recognize changes in clients.
Ability to establish and maintain harmonious relations with clients/families/co-workers.

Physical and Mental Demands:
Good physical and mental health
Mental fortitude and stability to handle stress.

Qualifications/Education
Health Care Aid (HCA) 2 years
Current driver's license.
Proper Vehicle Insurance Coverage.
Willingness to obtain Vulnerable Sector Check
First Aid/CPR

Compensation:
Commensurate with experience and qualifications
