I spent years guitar-teching at Ring Music in downtown Toronto - the repair/set-up shop for Lightfoot, Cockburn, Springsteen, Lifeson. Now I provide that same level of workmanship out of my recording studio at Ossington and Bloor, and I'm proud to say I have many very happy clients.

Some important factors that separate me from larger repair shops:
 
1. Quick Turnaround
I can get most jobs done in two to three days, whereas the average turnaround time at bigger shops is 3-4 weeks minimum. Of course, a full re-fret or other large/time-consuming upgrades will take longer, but unlike other shops I'll give you a turnaround date in advance so you know when you're getting your instrument back. And it will be quick.
 
2. Progress Reports
I try to capture photos when I'm in the deepest part of the job (see website for examples). If it's a big job, I'm happy to keep you informed on the process with texts and photos. If I encounter an issue (i.e. new pickguard you provided needs modding to fit), I'll keep you in the loop as to what needs to be done and how long it may take.
 
3. Plug-n-Play and Onsite Tweaks
When you come by to pick up, your instrument is plugged into an amp and ready to try out. If there are any issues after playing it (i.e. action is too high/low), I can address it on the spot. But that has yet to happen.


 
There isn't really anything I can't take on including mild amp/keyboard/etc. repairs. I love helping people out with their gear and I'm happy to work on anything small to big. 
 
- Basic setup work: Thorough cleaning, new strings, neck and action adjustment, intonation, etc.
- Custom pickguards and mods,
- Pickup swaps, full harness assembly rebuilds - electrical anything
- Nut, bridge and saddle repair including builds from scratch
- Assembling project guitars
- Fretwork - Spot level and crown, complete fret dress, Total re-fret
 
I also have wheels, so there's the possibility of pickup/delivery for a quick turnaround at a very competitive price.
