The amount of reduction/elimination/improvement varies based on age of skin, skin laxity, severity of condition, technicians technique, following aftercare recommendations, and number of treatments
The outline of the procedure itself:
Microneedling is a treatment where we apply numbing cream to the skin and use a powered electric machine which has pulsating small micro needles to basically “slough” off the first layer of dead skin. This treatment also causes the skin to produce collagen by creating micro injuries/channels to the skin. The skin produces collagen and elastin in order to repair itself where as our body typically stops/slows producing collagen on its own around the age of 25-30 or so.
The entire treatment takes about an hour/hour 15min
Important thing to note/post treatment
We create micro injuries with the needles this does cause some pin point bleeding during the procedure only, which is why the treatment is so effective, however, you do not leave the studio with any blood on the face as it is minimal and it is cleaned afterward, but this does cause the face to be quite red like likened to red like a sun burn or lobster for 24-48 hours post treatment.
An ointment supplied by the technician is to be applied for the 24-48 hours post treatment, and no make up is to be applied for 24-48 hours post treatment.
After the 24-48 hours you are good to go back to your regular skin care and make up routines . 48 hours is encouraged
I also recommend against wearing face masks 24-48 hours post procedure, avoiding alchohol, and sun beds as well as sun tanning/prolonged sun exposure for 48 hours.
It is best to stop using any face products containing AHA, BHA, gylcolic acid, or retinol 3-5 days prior to procedure. You must not have taken prescription Accutane within the past 6-12 months
