I have more than 5 years of experience working in multi-unit residential buildings as an assistant superintendent and maintenance manager, and I have been looking for work with a new company since January. I have applied to many positions in the GTA but have not secured anything live-in, which is what I am seeking specifically. The jobs I have held during the past 4 years have all included a unit for my family and I onsite in the building where I worked - usually free or as a taxable benefit. I also received a salary on top of the use of the apartment. This is a common arrangement between residential property companies and their employees. I am urgently seeking new employment in order to reunify with my young children - who are staying temporarily with family until I find a new home us (myself, wife, and 2.5 year old twins). Due to this urgency - I am willing to off myself for fulltime and on-call availability for a duties to be determined by the property, including but not limited to: general cleaning, building systems preventative maintenance, light repairs and renovations, garbage removal and compactor/bin management, lawn maintenance, tenant relations, afterhours emergency repairs, and any others as instructed by the employer. I am not seeking a salary. I would only want to be compensated with a free 1-2 bedroom unit at the same property where duties were to be performed.
