My name is Erika Hunter, I am a Doula in training serving young moms (15-25) within the Rideau Heights/Downtown areas of Kingston, Ontario.A doula provides emotional, physical, and mental support throughout pregnancy, labour, and shortly after. I offer an inclusive, non-judgemental, and trauma informed approach regarding pregnancy and childbirth! As a new doula I demonstrate enthusiasm and an eagerness to learn more about the world of birth, as well as a plethora of information and techniques to empower your birthing experience and increase the chances of an easier labour with less interventions. I grew up in a low-income household and understand the emotional and physical toll it can take on your life and in turn, your pregnancy. As such I am offering my services pro-bono for the duration of my training for those who may not otherwise be able to afford a doula. I do not replace your partner/support person, however facilitate the connection and teamwork needed throughout the birthing process.
