We are currently seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Accounting Assistant to join our team at Rap Financing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with expertise in the full accounting cycle, payroll administration, tax filing, bookkeeping, and Canadian tax regulations.
REQUIREMENTS:
Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2 years of experience in accounting roles, with a strong understanding of the full accounting cycle.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and MS Office Suite.
Knowledge of Canadian payroll processes, tax regulations, tax filing, and bookkeeping practices.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
Assist in payroll processing, including calculating wages, deductions, and benefits, and ensuring compliance with payroll regulations.
Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns, including GST/HST filings, in accordance with Canadian tax laws.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and perform bookkeeping tasks as needed.
Reconcile bank statements and assist in financial statement preparation.
Support the accounting team with ad hoc tasks and projects as needed.
