Hey there!

My name is Lucas, and I am an OCT certified teacher with a deep passion for teaching. With over 10 years of experience working with children and 2 years as an educator, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to my tutoring sessions. I completed my bachelor of arts in sociology at McMaster University, and I completed by bachelor of education (with first class standing) at Lakehead University. Additionally, I have acquired additional qualifications such as Indigenous Education and Special Education Part 1. I am currently working for the Peel District School Board as a teacher. In working for PDSB as a homeroom teacher, I've gained valuable insights into curriculum expectations and effective teaching strategies. I've worked diligently to hone my skills in understanding the diverse needs of learners.

My approach to education is holistic, focusing on aspects such as: individual learning styles, multimodal learning and fostering a growth mindset in each student. I believe in creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable and motivated to push themselves, complete their goals, and reach their full potential.
