Job Description: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated live-in caregiver to join our family in Toronto, Ontario. The caregiver will be responsible for providing exceptional care to three children, aged 10 years, 7 years, and 1 year old. Fluency in both English and Urhobo is essential, as we value maintaining our Nigerian heritage and ensuring effective communication within the household.
Responsibilities:
• Provide attentive care and supervision to the children in a safe and nurturing environment.
• Engage the children in educational and recreational activities tailored to their ages and interests.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks for the children, taking into account any dietary restrictions or preferences.
• Assist with light housekeeping duties related to the children's care, such as tidying up their play areas and doing their laundry.
• Accompany the children on school runs and extracurricular activities, ensuring their timely arrival and departure.
• Assist with homework and educational activities for the older children, offering guidance and support as needed.
• Maintain open and clear communication with the parents regarding the children's well-being, daily routines, and any concerns or updates.
Qualifications:
• Motherhood experience, preferably with multiple children and infants.
• Genuine love for children and a patient, nurturing demeanor.
• Fluency in both English and Urhobo languages, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic household environment.
• Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate activities.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record for school runs and outings.
• First aid and CPR certification preferred.
