You have read ads saying Rare and get attention..in this case it is 100% true. I had the car at Moparfest this year and many didn't even know this model and has people around it all day both days.
The car is a one year only model and is Canadian built "PLODGE" which makes it extremely rare. The reason is Dodges built in Canada got a Plymouth dash hence the nickname PLODGE. Being a Canadian car it also got the 313 engine instead of the American built 318.
Not many were made and even less Canadian cars made I believe only a handful remain if that. I believe less that 700 2 doors were made. Want a car no one else has...be the only one at any car show...this is the one for you.
The previous owner did the interior, he owns upholstery shop in BC and does some of Rust Valley Restorers interiors. Being from BC the body is in excellent shape. The car also has front power disc brake upgrade, MSD ignition, 4 core rad in which has never been over 150 degrees. The engine is a correct 313 but not original to the car. I just installed new air shocks last week.
All the stainless trim is in perfect condition. The PIONEER is the mid level of the three Dart trim levels....the models were the Seneca...Pioneer...and top was the Phoenix.
Everything on the car works as it should...the trunk does have some clear coat issues and a few stone chips here and there but is still very sharp and will have people asking about it where ever it goes.
I would like to trade for a 1956 Desoto 2 door or 1957 to 1959 Desoto.... Dodge... Chrysler 2 door or 4 door Hardtop. Desoto is the preferred trade. NOTHING ELSE PLEASE!!
