PAY: $220 per nightshift (this is *NOT* a cash job; you are e-transferred the payment)

TIME/DAYS: Weekend, Friday, Saturday and long weekend Sunday, 9 pm - 9 am. And weekdays if we take a vacation or trip.
- We are looking for 2 caregivers who can alternate days or weekends or one person who can reliably do it all.

There is no flexibility for these hours of 9 pm - 9 am (as above)

Reliability and good care are of the utmost importance.

You're paid as a self-employed contractor.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The patient is female, about the size of a 10-year-old girl. She is severely disabled, non-verbal, g-tube-fed only, and cannot sit up or stand on her own. She cannot swallow voluntarily, so she is at risk for choking and aspiration.

She is gentle so no behavioural concerns or management is needed.

You'll be working in a clean, large home and a nice environment where Covid protocols are followed.

OVERNIGHT CARE: 9 pm, bolus sleeping meds and set up sleeping position. 10 pm G-tube feeding starts. You use a baby monitor to monitor her; you sleep as she sleeps. You are given a private room and a bed. She may or may not wake up, and you will give meds if needed to return to sleep. She wakes up around 8 am. You then clean the G-tube container, bed bath, and hygiene care for the day. Light household duties.

- diaper change

- positioning to prevent aspiration

- stretching, light massage, and range of motion exercises

- dressing

- talking gently to patient, reading books, keeping good and kind company

- light household duties if she is sleeping.

Looking for someone who is kind, caring and reliable.

Willing to train with pay, but helps if trained PSW course is taken or experienced with severely disabled children.
