Millwright-Mechanist Specialist

There is an exciting opportunity to join our team. This 11-month position reports to the Mechanical Supervisor, and is primarily responsible for:
• Maintaining and troubleshooting rotating or moving equipment.
• Maintaining valves and piping systems.
• Interpreting drawings and specifications for installation, modification, or repair of equipment.
• Serving where necessary on the O&M project team.
• Maintaining records and documenting equipment condition.
• Performing PM/CM on all mechanical equipment as required.
• Developing and establishing PM/CM documents, SOPs, and JHAs.
• General fabrication where necessary.
• Maintaining a parts inventory system including ordering and restock.

To be a successful candidate you must:
• Possess a valid Alberta Millwright Journeyman Ticket or Interprovincial Red Seal.
• Have previous experience working in the wastewater industry would be considered an asset.
• Be able to interpret/understand drawings & schematics.
• Possess strong written and interpersonal communication skills, with excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Have a safety conscious mindset.
• Be dedicated to keeping work areas and equipment clean and free of safety hazards.
• Able to demonstrate compliance with all organizational policies and procedures.
• Be a self-starter, able to work under minimal supervision, exercise good judgment, and effectively manage conflicting priorities and emergencies.
• Be highly organized, motivated, punctual, honest, and willing to learn.
• Possess intermediate skills with Microsoft Office (i.e., Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) is not required but would be an asset.

We offer a competitive compensation package. The pay range for this role is $49.16 - $53.16 per hour. We also offer a compressed work week, training, and a supportive work environment. While this is a temporary position, there is the possibility for this position to become permanent. Some overtime may be required.
