Role Summary:
As our Chef, you will be at the heart of our childcare centre, crafting nutritious, delicious, and diverse meals that cater to the needs of our students. Your expertise will not only nourish their bodies but also instill in them a lifelong appreciation for healthy eating. This role is ideal for a self-motivated individual who is keen on making a difference in children's lives through culinary arts.

Key Responsibilities:
Plan and prepare daily meals and snacks that meet the nutritional guidelines and dietary needs of children of various ages and dietary restrictions.
Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering supplies and ensuring food safety standards are met.
Collaborate with childcare staff to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences.
Engage with children and staff about the importance of nutrition and healthy eating habits.
Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the overall goals of the childcare centre.

Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Chef, Cook, or in a similar role, preferably with experience in childcare or educational settings.
Culinary arts training or certification is highly desirable.
Knowledge of nutrition and experience preparing meals that cater to various dietary needs.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A passion for working with children and contributing to their growth and development.
Must pass a background check and have up-to-date food handling certifications.
