SHIFT OHS INC. located in Red Deer, AB, is an industry leader in the field of workplace testing (drug, alcohol, occupational health), training, and policy development. Our team shares a passion for keeping workers healthy and safe. We understand that in order to shift towards a culture that puts safety first, businesses need a trusted partner that can provide testing services, education, and consulting for their employees. And that's where we come in!

Our team is seeking an experienced nurse to provide occupational testing services to our clients. This is a part-time subcontractor position, requiring completion of half day shifts (no weekends). Ideally, we are seeking an individual to commit to providing availability for 2 afternoon shifts per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday afternoons from 12 pm – 5 pm), though there may be potential for additional shifts to cover vacations and high-volume time periods.

As a subcontractor, payment is rendered on a fee for service basis (each completed test is paid out at a rate of $10-$25 dollars). Typical earnings per half day shift range from $150 - $200.

Your responsibilities will include:
• Providing occupational testing services:
- Drug and alcohol testing (training provided by Shift OHS)
- Health assessments and physical fitness screening
- Audiometric testing (training / certification required – Shift OHS will facilitate this)
- Pulmonary Function testing (training / certification required – Shift OHS will facilitate this)
- Respirator Fit testing (training provided by Shift OHS)
• Completion of testing paperwork
• Reporting of testing results to company contacts
• Stocking of supplies in testing rooms
• Reviewing of occupational health tests completed by other service providers (backup support for our Occupational Health Coordinator)
• Participating in monthly nurses' meetings

Qualifications:
• Current registration with an Alberta nursing association (CRNA, CLPNA)
• 3 years' working experience as a nurse
• Must be willing to obtain audiometric certification and pulmonary function certification (Shift OHS will help set this up and provide ability to complete the practical portion of the certification; the nurse will be responsible for completing the course and payment of the course)
• Must be willing to complete drug and alcohol collector training (provided by Shift OHS at no cost to the nurse)
