Job Summary:

Vita Psychotherapy and Counselling Services is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Psychotherapist or masters student in psychology, counselling or a related field to join our team. As a Registered Psychotherapist, you will provide therapeutic services to individuals, couples, and families to support them as they go through emotional, mental and psychological challenges. Your expertise in evidence based treatment, case management, and patient care will be crucial in providing effective treatment and support.

Vita Psychotherapy and Counselling Services is also currently offering a practicum placement to qualified postsecondary students. Our student positions offer experience in administrative and clinical roles. The successful student placement candidate will be completing a graduate-level masters degree counselling psychology (or similar) program and have experience working within the field of psychology or have related experience.

Responsibilities:
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on clients' goals and needs
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address emotional and behavioral issues
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care for clients
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records
- Stay updated on the latest research and developments in the field of psychotherapy

Experience:
- Previous experience working with children, adolescents, or adults in a clinical setting
- Knowledge of special education practices and techniques
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to mental health disorders
- Experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting is preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport with clients
- Collaborative, non judgemental, compassionate, reliable and respectful nature

Requirements:
- Master's degree in Psychology, Counselling, or a related field (student)
- CRPO license as a Psychotherapist
- Excellent communication and active listening skills
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Liability Insurance
