Title: General Farm Worker
Location: Saint François Xavier, Manitoba (15 minutes west of Winnipeg's west Perimeter Highway)
Pay: $40,000 - $50,000 depending on experience
Indefinite term, seasonal role starting ASAP
The General Farm Worker is responsible for:
-Maintaining facilities and farm infrastructure including performing general and preventative yard maintenance, lawn care, snow removal, tree trimming, etc.
-Maintaining riding rings and pasture, fence repairs, handling hay and shaving deliveries.
-Ensuring farm equipment is maintained (ie. gas, oil & filter changes for lawnmower, snowblower, tool caddy, tractor to spread manure).
-Working in a safe manner, reporting incidents or near-miss incidents.
-Communicating any issues or concerns to the owners.
-Coordinating with general contractors for additional maintenance as needed.
Essential Requirements:
-Valid driver's licence and ability to travel to the property in Saint François Xavier, MB.
-Legally eligible to work in Canada and already residing near the workplace.
-Previous experience in a similar role as a Farm Worker.
-Previous experience running farm equipment and maintaining vehicles.
-Physically able to kneel and crouch as well as lift, carry, push or pull objects weighing up to 75 lbs.
-Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.
Work Conditions
You work on site during regular business hours Monday to Friday. Work has exposure to noise from equipment/machinery and occupational hazards as well as dealing with inclement weather, dust and animals.
