We are looking to hire Before and After School Leaders for Explorers out of Cardinal Leger School at 141 Campion Cres. Additional hours maybe added working at the preschool, please note in cover letter if you are interested in preschool, play based outdoor preschool program.

Flexible shifts from May 1 to June 27, 2024 with the possibility to continuing in the Fall of 2024 following the Catholic school calendar.

Program runs from Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 9 am and then from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Children attending are from KG to grade 8.

We are looking for someone with the following qualifications:
• Is responsible for the safety, general atmosphere, conduct, and behavior of children during his/her scheduled shifts.
• Engage with children by playing games, crafting, organizing activities, and having fun.
• Prior experience or a strong interest in working with children
• Ability to communicate verbally with Explorers staff, and parents/caregivers
• Have reliable transportation to and from Explorers
• Assist with clean up duties and light cleaning. Including mopping, sweeping. Washing toys, tables, cabinets when required.

Job Requirements:
- Experience working with children, an asset.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Criminal Record Check (original) with vulnerable sector check dated within 3 months of hire.

Salary will be reflected by experience and set upon hiring ($15-$18/ hourly)
