About Me:

Hello there! My name is Catalina, and I am excited to offer my services as a Respite Caregiver. With a strong dedication to helping children with autism thrive, I'm here to create a supportive environment that promotes their development and well-being. Take a break while ensuring your loved one receives the highest level of care and support in the comfort of their own home.

Services and Approach: As your committed 1:1 Respite Caregiver, I will focus on:

• Personalized care plans designed to meet the unique needs of each individual.
• Assisting in the development of essential life skills with patience and care.
• Companionship and social engagement to promote overall well-being.
• Engaging your child in creative, enjoyable activities designed to promote learning.
• Collaborating closely with your family to ensure consistency and personalized care.

Qualifications:

• Currently working as private behavioral aide for a client with down syndrome and ADHD.
• 3 years of experience in working with children with autism, severe ADHD, and alcohol fetal syndrome.
• Dedicated to fostering inclusivity and actively advocating for the rights and needs of clients.
• Possess a patient, empathetic, and compassionate disposition.
• Excellent communication skills and a natural ability to connect with others.
• Creative problem-solving skills to effectively engage and motivate children.

Not accepting clients that are:

• Aggressive and unsafe.
• NO TOILETING.

What I'm looking for with prospective clients:

• I'm looking to provide respite for 4 hours minimum. Nothing less, definitely more.
• Families must have a FSCD contract and be able to provide a T4 slip.

Ability to commute/relocate:

• I am able to commute to your house. However, I currently don't have a car, but I am happy to take clients out for walks, walk to the park, or shopping centres (if it's close to your house). I am not willing to take transit - as transit has become unsafe and incredibly unpredictable. The safety of your child is my number one priority.
