This is authentic Balinese mask made to be worn by a man. The man would be of high status as is is shown by his headdress. His large eyes show that he has a somewhat impetuous nature.
You can see that the mask is meant to be worn in a dance drama because slits are carved in the back so the dancer can see, and there are holes under the nostrils so he can breathe.
