Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Accounting Controller.
As a key member of our team, the successful candidate will oversee all aspects of financial management and reporting within our Transportation Logistics company.
This position requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of accounting principles within the transportation industry.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department within a Transportation Logistics setting
Manage financial reporting processes specific to the transportation industry, including month-end and year-end close
Ensure compliance with all accounting standards and regulations relevant to the transportation sector
Develop and maintain internal controls tailored to the unique aspects of transportation logistics to safeguard company assets
Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports specific to transportation logistics for management and stakeholders
Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors familiar with transportation industry regulations
Manage cash flow and budgeting processes within the context of transportation logistics operations
Provide leadership and guidance to accounting staff within the transportation industry context
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
CPA designation preferred
Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting or finance roles within the transportation industry
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices within the transportation sector
Experience with financial reporting and analysis specific to transportation logistics
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, with experience in transportation logistics software as a plus
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with transportation industry stakeholders
Strong leadership and team management abilities within a transportation logistics setting
